We believe that education is a partnership between staff, pupils and parents and that it is at its most effective where there is close co-operation between home and school.
We welcome parents into school to work with us in a variety of ways.
We do, currently, have many parents coming into school to assist in the classroom or to work with children in small group activities. Parents have helped in the past by assisting in classrooms, cookery, supervising on educational visits and supporting the organisation through attending fundraising events. If you think you would like to be involved in similar activities or have any other ideas or skills to offer please contact the school. Regular helpers will need to have a check through the Disclosure and Barring service. (DBS Check)
We have formal parents consultation evenings in the Autumn and Spring term and your child will receive a written report on his/her academic achievement and progress during the summer term.
You are welcome, of course, at any point in the year, to come and discuss any concerns you may have with your child’s class teacher in the first instance.
Working together we can help to give your child security and confidence without which real learning is impossible.
Our messaging service enables us to send you reminders and news of school closures, due to bad weather, for example.
Only ONE mobile phone number per child can be allocated to the system.
